Ex-voto of Osiris God
Late Dynastic Period, C. 664 à 332 B.C.
Ex-voto depicting mummyform Osiris, on a base. He wears the atef crown with two ostrich feathers. Ousekh collar finelly engraved. An uræus (a female cobra) descends from the headdress at the center of the crown. His eyes are powdered. He wears a false braided barb, fixed with two links, and holds in his hands the heqa scepter (right hand) and the nekhakha whip (left hand). Anatomical details like the knees. Two suspension loops that show that the ex-voto has been fixed on a side. Dorsal pillar.
Lost wax cast bronze with a brown patina.Fine technic. Made in Middle-Egypt (hands).Hauteur / Height (without the base) : 13 cm.
